The Kansas Broadcasting Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to broadcasting in Kansas, across the nation, or both. Nominees must have worked in the broadcasting industry. Individuals who are Kansas natives may be recognized for contributions made in other states or at the national level. Individuals who are not Kansas natives are also eligible, provided they have worked in Kansas broadcasting.
Hall of Fame nominees are selected based on the information submitted under the five judging categories listed below. Your nomination submission should include a written nomination statement and any supporting documentation. Please complete all required fields. The completeness and clarity of the information submitted are important factors in the judging process. Nominations must be received by August 1.
The judging categories are:
Contributions to the Profession: During their career, what contributions has the nominee made to the broadcasting profession through their work in local, state, regional, or national industry organizations or projects?
Broadcast Career: A brief résumé of the nominee's broadcasting career, highlighting significant positions, accomplishments, and career milestones.
Recognition and Awards: List major broadcast industry awards, honors, or other professional recognition received by the nominee.
Local, State, or National Activities: Describe the nominee's participation in local, state, or national organizations and any recognition received.
Reason Nominee Should Be Selected: Explain why the nominee should be inducted into the Kansas Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
Honorees will be recognized through KAB press releases, the KAB website, publications, member communications, and social media. Recipients will also be honored at the KAB Annual Convention on October 19, 2026.
