EEO Webinar

EEO Webinar

Thursday, February 16, 2023 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (CST)

Description

The FCC is considering changes to its EEO rules but, even while considering changes to its policies, it continues to enforce the rules that are in place. A station’s compliance is reviewed both in connection with its license renewal, through periodic random audits and, for larger station groups, at the mid-point between renewal applications. Stations are required to engage in wide dissemination of information about job openings and engage in specified outreach activities designed to educate their communities about broadcast employment and to train employees for advancement in their broadcast careers, even if they have no job openings. Join us on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. CST when KAB Washington counsel David Oxenford of the law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer will review all of the FCC’s EEO obligations and discuss how you can meet those obligations to stay out of trouble with the FCC, and what might lie in store in the way of future FCC EEO compliance obligations.
