Immerse yourself in the world of sports broadcasting at the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Student Broadcast and Sports Seminar, a dynamic event that brings together professional sports broadcasters, college and high school broadcast students, and faculty. The event kicks off with a keynote from Dani Welniak, a sports media leader with experience as a former ESPN promotions assistant, Chiefs Radio Network sideline reporter, Kansas sports director/color analyst, and now Vice President of Communications for the KC Current of the National Women’s Soccer League.
Enjoy career networking opportunities and the Broadcast Activities Fair, where students can interact with industry professionals and gain hands-on broadcast experience. Explore six student-focused sessions blending education, networking, and opportunities to showcase talent, along with three professional sessions designed for working broadcasters.
The day also includes presentation of the Hod Humiston, Dr. Ian Punnett and Student Awards.
