Broadcast Engineer/IT Support
Job Description:
The Broadcast Engineer/IT Manager assists in all aspects of the Engineering/IT Departments.
- Provide end user support for station personnel.
- Installs and tests new systems and technical infrastructure for the station.
- Minimizes service interruptions at times of equipment and/or system failure by rapidly identifying and implementing solutions.
- Installs and maintains IT network, switches, workstations, data backups, phones, and printers.
- Communicates with members of all departments to effectively resolve equipment and system issues.
- Collaborates with news crews to ensure successful productions and improve workflows.
- Manage user accounts and computers through Active Directory.
- Manage station computers and laptops using tools such as SCCM, InTune, Software Center, AutoPilot, etc.
- Provides quality support services and technical assistance for the News, Production, Creative Services, and Sales departments.
- Develop audio, video and IT solutions that meet end users’ requirements.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience with digital transmitters, microwave equipment, and other broadcast-related equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong PC/MS Office experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment/Mental/Physical Requirements: Position will require day-to-day multi-tasking, as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously with frequent change in direction and priority.
