About the Opportunity

KCTV5, the CBS affiliate serving the Kansas City metropolitan area, is offering paid internships through Gray Media's Summer 2027 Training Program.

This 10-week program provides college students with hands-on experience working alongside broadcasting professionals. Interns complete real-world assignments, develop digital content, and build professional portfolios.

Responsibilities

Complete real-world assignments for broadcast and digital platforms.

Create content for television, social media, streaming, and websites.

Collaborate with experienced broadcasting professionals.

Commit to 25 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Develop professional skills and a portfolio of work.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in college or university; junior or senior standing preferred.

Pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, sales, engineering, news, sports, or a related field.

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Interest in local broadcasting and digital media.

Ability to commit to the full program.

Compensation: State minimum wage to $15 per hour.
