One of Mid-America’s leading News-Talk stations is looking to expand! Since 2006, NewsTalk KZRG has earned the trust of listeners across the Four States — from Springfield to Tulsa and Northwest Arkansas to Coffeyville. The award-winning KZRG News Team has been at the forefront of major local and regional stories, from natural disasters to statehouse coverage and acclaimed election reporting. No one covers the Four States like KZRG AM and FM.

Zimmer Marketing, a growing family-owned company in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking an energetic, curious, and driven Morning News Host & Multimedia Journalist to join our respected KZRG team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love storytelling, and value professional growth in a collaborative setting, this could be your next great radio experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-anchor and host KZRG’s live morning show.
• Report, write, and deliver engaging local and regional news on-air, online, and on social media.
• Cover live news and weather events in the field.
• Produce and edit audio and video content for multiple platforms.
• Build and maintain relationships with news sources and community leaders.
• Work collaboratively while managing projects independently.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of anchoring or reporting experience preferred.
• Strong writing, storytelling, and production skills across audio, video, and digital platforms.
• Proficient with web posting, social media, newsroom automation, and studio board operation.
• Calm and professional under deadline pressure.
• Positive, coachable attitude with curiosity to find the real story.
• On-site position based in Joplin, Missouri.
• High school diploma or equivalent; media or journalism background a plus.
